For A Good Cause: Waterproof Bible – Buy One Give One

ex-4Be Inspired. Anywhere.” is the tagline for the Waterproof Bible. While the person having their quiet time with God while scuba diving may be a bit extreme, a Waterproof Bible can come in handy. My first thought after seeing this: I wish I had this when I left the windows of my car down with my Bible in the door’s pocket after that one torrential downpour. I’m sure if you’re a klutz like me, a Waterproof Bible makes sense after all those coffee spills, after church running to the car in the rain, or drops in mud puddles.

If you think this is a needless attribute, try telling this to people in the Amazon or Kenya.  This is where the Waterproof Bible really starts to make sense.

Recently, Waterproof Bible publisher, Bardin Marsee, partnered with The 410 Bridge and started a BOGO (buy one, give one) program. So, for every Waterproof Bible purchased on their website, a Waterproof Bible will be given to a person in the communities of Karima, Karagoto, and Kwambekenya of Kenya this Christmas, and will be working through the local churches to distribute. By purchasing a Waterproof Bible on their site you are giving a person the most durable Bible that is going to be with them for a long long time.

Pretty cool, huh?

This would make a pretty unique and interesting Christmas gift for someone. The Waterproof Bible is available in NIV and KJV translations. Make sure to check out the video below to see the Waterproof Bible in action. It’s definitely worth watching!

Haha! That would be a great time to use this! You'll never have to be concerned about dropping it in the water.

I saw this at catalyst and at first thought it was a gimmick. Then I realized why this was needed and I was amazed. What a great idea and a great cause.
