The Sweet By and By – by Sara Evens [Book Review]

Book: The Sweet By and By
Author: Sara Evens (with Rachel Hauck)
Rating: ★★★★☆

I had my wife, Naomi, review this book because I felt that she would hold a better look into a book that is more geared towards women than I would. What do I know about what women like? Nothing. So here is her review:

The Sweet By and By, by Sara Evens (with Rachel Hauck) is a good start to a great series. This is a story about a girl named Jade Fitzgerald who is in the search for her real love. It takes place in the country filled state of Tennessee where Jade battles her past as she prepares for her future.

Sara Evens is already a very successful recording artist, and I was excited to read a book that was written by her. It carries an interesting storyline, and is more of a casual read. I didn’t mind putting it down for the night, but I looked forward to starting it back up. You can tell that this is from a new author, but Evens stayed away from the sometime tempting cliches often found in Christian fiction.  I enjoyed this book, and look forward to the next in its series!

Thanks for your thoughts, Naomi. It's always helpful to hear another reader's opinion of the book before you spend the time reading it.:) If you still have it, can I borrow it?:)
