Balloon Warfare [Game]

2009 October 28

I have been to many teen functions in my day while I was a teen and then later as a helper. As I was contemplating what to blog about this week, I couldn’t help but think of the rain we have been having here in Michigan. It usually disrupts many October activity plans. So here is a good game to play if you have a rained out activity:

Balloon Warfare
• People: 10+
• Time: 10 – 30 mins
• Materials: Balloons
• How to play:

  1. Divide group into two teams.
  2. Have the teams sit in a line opposite each other, with a 3 foot gap between the two teams.
  3. The object of the game is to get the balloon to land behind the other teams line. The defensive line can lean back to save the balloon from hitting the floor.
  4. Each player must stay seated for the entire game, with their butt on the ground. If you move off the ground, you forfeit that point.
  5. The first team to reach 10 wins.
  • Have 2-3 adults to referee the game.
  • For more difficulty add extra balloons.

What are some games you’ve played indoors?
