The last time I wrote for GodlySheep, I introduced you to a free Bible program for your computer called e-Sword. In this post I would like to share some of the insanely useful tools e-Sword offers to help you in your Christian walk. The three tools I’ll be discussing are the Bible reading tool, the prayer request management tool, and the Scripture memory tool. I will give a quick introduction to each and then I’ll share a screencast showing how to use each of them.
1. Bible Reading Tool
e-Sword has this really nifty tool which makes planning a reading schedule a real breeze. For instance, say you want to read through the Bible in a specific period of time, such as a year. Well, this tool makes it a snap!
2. Prayer Request Management Tool
If you are anything like me, then you also struggle with keeping a prayer list. Well, as it turns out e-Sword can help you out! You can add requests, tell when to remind you to pray for them, and you can check them off, keeping track as God answers as He sees fit!
3. Scripture Memory Tool
We all need whatever help we can get in memorization, right? If we are to recall scripture when needed, we need to hide it in our hearts! A very important part of that is memorizing it! Believe it or not, e-Sword can help!
Want to learn more about how these tools work?
Check out the screen cast I recorded and see some of the ins and outs:
Those are just a few of the tools e-Sword has to offer! In fact, when you get into add-ons, there is so much you can do with e-Sword it would be difficult to review all of it! What tools do YOU use often in e-Sword?
