In Retrospect: A Look Back At November’s Most Popular Posts
Can you believe it’s December already? We had a great time in November. We discussed church prizes, No Messin’ Around, Bible character superheroes, and what kind of Christian Thanksgiving eater you are. Here’s a look back at some of November’s most popular posts:
MMH5 – What Kind of Christian Thanksgiving Eater Are You?
“…1 – Turkey – Not even fatigue can keep you away from digging into the deep and heavy meat of the Word of God. Paul the Apostle is your Tom Brady, and discussing and debating things like the Trinity and meat offered to idols is better than any fantasy football league. The Bible is your study tool, and Greek and Hebrew will cause you to almost squeal in excitement. Bible concordances and more blank notebooks to fill are at the top of your Christmas list this year…”
“…No Messin’ Around focuses on teenagers in schools and community events. I had the privilege of interviewing Katie Drake, the Executive Director of No Messin’ Around. Katie is a personal friend of mine and a strong leader in her church and community. She has both an interesting ministry, and a passion for ministering to teens…”
“I came across this game, maybe I’m a nerd, but I love it! It would make a great mixer/get to know you game…”
MMH5 – If Bible Characters Were Superheroes
“When I was young, I would hear the stories of Bible characters and the amazing feats they did…I know that behind all these great feats was the power of God. “…Chicago area church, Lighthouse Church of All Nations, is giving away cash to a few lucky “blessed or highly favored” church goers on Sundays. A number is selected from a bag, and one worshiper will receive $500, and $250 for two others…”
Coffee Cups: A Place of Inspiration“…If your church does host a coffee hour before or after worship and uses Styrofoam cups, then try this: Have your youth group (junior high or high school) use permanent markers to write messages on the cups and decorate them…”
