Promises [Poem]

2009 November 12

Lord God You know how my heart feels
Right now it seems life is too real
Everywhere I turn new problems arise
And it seems that all I do is cry
My Lord my God please mend my broken heart
Please meet my heart’s needs before I fall apart
For You alone know how my heart feels
And You alone can make life seem less real
You alone can give peace, strength, and grace
To make it easier to pass through this world
And on to that heavenly place
The trials they will keep coming
I know they will not end
But if my heart is filled with Your promises
Only then will my heart begin to mend
For Lord You know what my heart feels
You know how to make life seem less real
