Why did Jesus die for me?
I was not worth bearing that tree.

I was not worth the pain it took
To get my name into that book.

I was not worth the shame He bore
To get me in through Heaven’s door.

I was not worth the sadness and strife
That gave to me eternal life.

I was not worth three days in a tomb
To save my soul from eternal doom.
So why did Jesus die for me?

Jesus died to set you free
    He offers all His liberty

So share His love with the human race
So all may know His saving grace

Here’s the point I don’t want you to miss
Our goal is to do all for His glory, Chris

And that’s why Jesus died for you and me
    He’s a great God don’t you agree?
